Anna Irene Auten

Anna Irene Auten, 87, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 19, 1928, in York, IL to Roscoe and Marie Wetherell. She married Charles Auten and together they raised five children.

Anna is survived by her children, Richard Auten (Kay), David Auten, Sr. (Patty), Terry Auten (Elana Auten), Diane Hunt (Michael), and Carl Auten, Sr. (Cathy); grandchildren, Jaymi Duncan, Steven Auten, David Auten Jr., Michael Auten, Trent Auten, Terra Auten, Mika Yoder, Carl Auten Jr., and Tammi Williams, several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Wetherell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Edith Torpy and Evelyn Naliborski; and a brother, Robert Wetherell.

Anna enjoyed cooking, bowling, and bingo. She liked to listen to country music and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Most of all, Anna cherished the time she spent with her family.

A private service will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Irwin officiating. Anna will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
