Barbara was 1961 graduate of State High School. She retired from CVS as a bookkeeper. Barbara was a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting. Barbara was happiest when she was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On August 4, 1962, Barbara married James Counterman, and he survives. She is also survived by her sons, Eric (Penny) Counterman of Terre Haute, Indiana and Brian (Paula) Counterman of Terre Haute, Indiana; six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Jim Dodd of Alexander, Virginia; her sister Nancy (Bill) Moyer of Emmaus, Pennsylvania and a large extended family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Barbara will be on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 2:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
