Nécrologie de Carol Suzanne Doolittle
Carol Suzanne Martin (Doolittle), 55, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, died peacefully in the presence of her two children in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on March 31st, 2018. Carol was born on January 16th, 1963 in Terre Haute to her parents, C.P. Martin and Sonia (Jones) Martin. She graduated from Terre Haute North High School in 1981 and graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree. Carol thoroughly enjoyed all types of music and artwork, often playing the acoustic guitar and drawing with her children on the kitchen table. Her favorite band was The Beatles, followed closely by the Monkees, and the song, "Here Comes the Sun” played year-round in her household. Carol also enjoyed the company of her dogs, and often referred to them as her “furbabies”. Her favorite tradition on Sunday mornings was to drive her striped Mini and go get burritos with her children for breakfast. She was a dark-chocolate loving soul whose gentle passion for all of the beautiful things in life extended to touch the hearts of those around her. Her kindness was never-ending, and her strength was admired by friends and family. She was a crafty mother, a generous friend, and a courageous woman. Carol’s favorite place in recent years was Disneyland, and she loved to accompany her children on vacations to the theme park. She was energetic and playful, often out-doing her children in liveliness on vacations. Her daughter called her, “A force that couldn’t be stopped”. Carol is survived by her father, C.P. Martin, and her three siblings, Janet, Randall, and Doug Martin. She is also survived by her children, Sarah and Steven Doolittle, 23. Carol leaves behind numerous loved ones and friends. It is her daughter’s hope that she is listening to The Beatles right now, and everyone who remembers Carol is asked to celebrate her life in their own way, raising a glass of wine to honor her memory. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Carol will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park following the visitation.
