

Charlie Weber, 88, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2015, at Union Hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Terre Haute, to Mike and Verna Weber. Charlie worked at several different drug stores in the area.
He liked to study everything about the Civil War, and he loved all kinds of sports, especially basketball. Charlie always had a smile on his face and he never met a stranger. He loved kids and all kinds of animals. He loved to read and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Charlie is survived by his twin sisters, Ruby Pearcer, and Ruth Crawley and husband Richard; his 98-year-old brother, Ed Weber; special nephew, Jon Russell and wife Anita; Mike Russell, Donnie Deakins, Gary Crawley and wife Jamie, Mark Crawley and wife Angel, Jonnie Conley and husband Bobbie; several great-nieces and great-nephews; also special friends, Phyllis and Gary Chaves, and Larry Chaves. Charlie is also survived by his best friend, his dog Tiffney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Raymond Weber; sister, Ginny Deakins and husband Bubba; and nephew, Brett Edward Russell.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday June 18, 2015, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with visitation Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott Johnson, with burial to follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at: www.mattoxwood.com.
