Dale Wayne West, 75, of Brazil passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021.
He was born on January 2, 1946 in Clinton to Charles Wayne West and Margaret Kesner West.
Dale was a graduate of Cayuga High School, class of 1964, and served his country in the Army National Guard.
Dale married the love of his life, Judy Henry West, on October 10, 1965.
He was a mechanical engineer and retired from Clay County/St. Vincent Hospital, with 31 years of service.
Dale was a 39 year member of Higher Ground Christian Center and a 50 year member of American Legion Post 184 of Newport.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Tom Virostik; and his great-grandson, Diesel Jax West.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Judy West; a son, David Wayne (Lisa) West ; a daughter, Tanya Faith(Darren) Minnick; grandchildren, Bryant (Amy) West, Cole West, Jaren West, Jordan (Morgan) Gaskill, Alexandrea (Jacob) Gaskill-Dean, and Kameran Gaskill; his beloved great-grandchildren: Tyler West, Bryley West, Amelia West, Addison West and Iveyana Belle Gaskill-Dean; and two sisters, Charlene (Dave) Dunham and Freda (Jon) Switzer; and his beloved dog, Max.
He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dale's biggest trait was helping and giving to others. He was always called upon for his wisdom and ability to fix anything broken. His family will forever remember and miss his sarcastic sense of humor.
