Debra Kay Stevens

Debra Kay (Fleschner) Stevens, 70, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Debra was born on November 27, 1955, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Floyd and Lillian (Bailey) Fleschner.

Debra worked at CARS until her retirement in 2007. She was a member of Agape Christian Church. She enjoyed knitting and loved cats and teddy bears.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lillian Fleschner, daughter, Melody Parker, brother, Jack Fleschner, a special uncle, Jerry Eddy, two nephews, Paul Rukes and Jason Gilbreath and two sister-in-laws, Angela Fleschner and Sharon Fleschner.

Left to cherish Debra’s memory are her husband of forty seven years, James Stevens; siblings, Linda (Lynn) Davis, Margaret Barnes (Michael), Floyd (Bob) Fleschner (Laura), Peggy Tolson (Jason), Michael Fleschner and Larry Fleschner; her children, James Stevens Jr (Julie), Kevin Stevens (Nelda) and Pamela Reed (Tom); twelve grandchildren, James, Susan, Richard, Jessica, Darrell, Joanne, Robin, George, Brandy, Jeremy, Jimmie and Ryan; twenty one great grandchildren, thirteen nieces and nephews, a large extended family, her dear friend, Jean and her furbabies.

Services for Debra will be on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1:00pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 North Lafayette Avenue, Terre Haute, Indiana 47805. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00am until service time. Burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery.
