Gloria Jean Roberts

Gloria Jean Roberts, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Union Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1944, in Terre Haute, to Jesse and Helen (Long) Huff. She married Donald Gary Roberts in December 1969. Gloria volunteered as a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts for many years. She enjoyed teaching her scouts how to sew, cook, and make crafts. She was a long time member of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church. She will be truly missed. Gloria is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald Gary Roberts of Terre Haute; a son, Gary Joseph Roberts of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jamie Ann Roberts, Jennifer Roberts, and Matthew Scott Roberts, all of Terre Haute; a great-grandson, McKail James Roberts; a brother, Jim Huff and his wife Sharon of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jennifer Jo Roberts and Lorri Ann Roberts; a brother, John Huff; a sister, Delores Knight; and her parents. Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, at the church.
