Helen Irene (Brown) Maurer

Helen Irene (Brown) Maurer, age 91 passed away on Tuesday January 15, 2019. Helen was born January 29, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was a graduate of Garfield High School; and was a lifelong member of 8th Avenue Baptist Church, where had been active in Missions, including trips to Hatti. Helen is survived by a son, Doug (Betty)Maurer; four grandchildren, Judd (Mary Searles) Mattimore, Jill Mattimore, Joshua Maurer, and Justin Maurer; and five great grandchildren, C.J. Murdock, Caleb Murdock, Laci Murdock, Cobie Mattimore and Jordan Scheppelman. Helen was preceded in death by her husband William G. Maurer; her daughter, Susan E. Mattimore; siblings Gilbert Brown, Geraldine Brown, Louis Brown, and Louise Hamilton. A Memorial Service will Celebrate Helen's Life on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until time of services.
