He was born in Rosedale on August 31, 1934 to Harold Leroy Hartman and Dorothy Ellen Lohr Hartman.
Jackie was a 1952 Graduate of Bridgeton High School and had served the Terre Haute community for over 30 years as a Police Officer with the Terre Haute Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and second wife, Judy Hartman.
Surviving are his wife Carrie, whom he married on December 30, 2007; his children, Clifford Hartman, Dottie (Kelly) Keylock, and Duane(Angie) Hartman; a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Williams; step-children, William “Bill” (Dee) Headley, Cheryl (Steve) Brown, Pamela (Larry) Reed, Scarlet Headley, Cindy (Audie) Swagman, and Lori Jones; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Roselawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Terre Haute Police Department will provide honors. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
