

Joann is survived by her husband, Larry Turner of Hillsdale; daughters, Kathy Myers and husband Gary, Peggy Fox and husband Jeff, Debbie Folts and partner Marc Owens, Connie Akers and partner Ken Conrad, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Larry Schoffstall (April), Joseph Otto, Aaron Myers (Leeah), Samantha McCrocklin (Zak), James Champion, Amanda Folts, Eric Myers (Grace Milner), Colby Akers (Haley), and Eleni Akers (Jordan Riley); twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Barbara Raney, Donald Schimmel and wife Betty, sister-in-law Mary Schimmel, all of Michigan; step-son, Larry Turner, Jr., step-granddaughter, Mallory Turner; and many nieces and nephews.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Nicholas Price; great-granddaughter, Ainsley Riley; and siblings, Charlotte, Chauncey, Lawrence, Theodore, Jack, and Freddie; and previous husband, Marion “Butch” Hall.
Joann and Larry owned and operated A-1 Towing and Limosine Service in Hillsdale. She enjoyed classic cars, riding on Harleys, crossword puzzles, and playing bingo. She loved to travel. Joann doted on her two dogs, Tiki Sue and Teddy and two cats, Precious and Black Midnight.
Visitation will be held from 11 – 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 26 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home with Pastor Vernon Dowell officiating. Joann will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
