John Burt Kyle

John “Jack” B. Kyle, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct., 31, 1933, in Terre Haute, to James B. Kyle and Esther V. (Paton) Kyle. He married Dora Stover June 7, 1959. He retired from Trans World Airlines in 1989, after 38 years of service.

Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dora Kyle, of Terre Haute; children, John Kyle and wife, Te’, of Terre Haute, Cindy Law and husband, Greg, of McIntosh, N.M., Denise Owen and husband, David, of Marshall, Ill., and Jim Kyle and wife, Pat, of Martinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Becky Haskins-Cooley of Phoenix, Heather Haskins of Albuquerque, N.M., Ashley Owen of Terre Haute, Kimberly Downey of Marshall, Daniel McNeill and Clinton McNeill, both of Terre Haute; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou Sellers of Paris, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Thomas Funeral Home. Services are 1 p.m. today, at the funeral home, with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at:
