Judith Darlene Williams, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Providence Health Care in St. Mary of the Woods. She was born on December 3, 1944, in Vigo County to Roy and Mary Louise (Ferrand) York.
Judy is survived by her children: David Williams, Jr. and wife Kimberley, and Kelly Keene and husband Todd, all of Terre Haute; siblings, Janet McCullough and husband Bob, Sharon Locke and husband Bill, Terry York, and Brenda Ketner and husband Jim, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Micheal Keene, Jason Keene, Brent Keene, William Keene, Rosemary Bolin, David Jeffrey Williams, and Kamie Williams; great-grandchildren, Keaton Keene, Kailynn Keene, Madison Keene, and Serenity Keene; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Patty Langford; and a sister-in-law, Barbara York.
Judy worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She later drove a bus for the Vigo County School Corporation. She also worked as a supervisor at Spectrum Industries in the handicapped and disability workshop. Judy loved children and was fondly known in the neighborhood as “Nana” to many. Judy loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She doted on her cat, Missy “Mama Cat”. She was a kind, generous, and compassionate woman who will be loved and missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 19 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home with Pastor James Haddix officiating.
