

Leon was a graduate of Fayette High School in 1950. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Pennington (Neal) on December 4, 1954.
He is survived by his,daughter, Sally Hunter (Steve); 2 grandchildren (Moonshiners), Amy Barbour (Corey) and Chad Hunter (Kelsey); and 4 great-grandchildren: Hunter, Addelynn, Hayden, and Greyson. Leon is also survived by his sister, Virginia Clouse; sister- in- law, Linda Sue Lenne (Skip); along with several nieces and nephews.
Leon and Mary Ann traveled to all 50 states and spent 42 winters in the Florida Keys, with his family visiting often. He was a teamster truck driver for LoveLace and Jones for many years. Leon and Mary Ann were instrumental in starting Jim's Parking in Mansfield, IN of which they were the proprietors for 21 years. Leon loved to go fishing with buddies, Tom and Ham, deer hunting, gardening and spending time with his 4 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Pennington, and two brothers, Earl and Richard Pennington.
