Lola worked at CBS Records, Union Hospital, Sarah Scott Middle School, and most recently she was a foster grandparent at Sugar Grove Elementary School. She loved working with the children. She also loved bargain hunting, bunco, and most of all, being with her grandchildren.
Lola is survived by her three children, Chris (Michele) Arbaugh, Cynthia (Kenny) Steiner, and Eric McCullough; a beloved step-son, Charles (Gerri) Arbaugh; four grandchildren, Leslie and Devin Arbaugh, Kenny and Luke Steiner; a cousin/sister, Martha (Les) Boling and their daughter, Amanda; many nieces and nephews; and several great friends.
Lola is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles B. Arbaugh; second husband, John W. McCullough; and four biological siblings.
Lola was a survivor. She started life a frightened little girl all alone in an orphanage. She endured abandonment, abuse, loss, betrayal, and still, she loved. She worked until her back was broke and she gave all she had to everyone she knew. Lola sacrificed and cared for a terminally ill husband and a mentally ill son she adopted. Her children and her grandchildren were her world and they adored her more than she knew. Our hearts are broken, but now she can rest in peace without pain or worries. Lola will be missed immensely.
Visitation will be held for Lola Thursday April 5, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm.
The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences can be made at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net.
