Marcella Joan Burke

Marcella graduated from Wiley High School, Class of 1949. She was a lifelong member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was active with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. She retired from Otter Creek Jr. High School after twenty-one years of working in the cafeteria.

On December 24, 1950, Marcella married Lloyd Leroy Burke. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1998.

Marcella is survived by: Daughters, Connie Boling (Michael) of Gladstone, MO and Susan Butler of McLean, VA; Sons, Ronald Burke (Patricia) of Terre Haute, IN and Robert Burke (Sarah Sabens) of Lafayette, IN; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, Eleanor Stevens, Jean Ewing and Betty Vanderbilt.

Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of The Wabash Valley, Majestic Care of Deming Park, and Sycamore Manor.
