Mary Jane Christopher

Mary Jane Christopher, 86 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. She was born November 15, 1932 in Tipton, Indiana to Charles Mettlen and Nina Vernon Mettlen. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Charles and Gwen Mettlen; 1 niece and 2 nephews. She is survived by 2 daughters Debbie Owsley (Keith) of Brazil, IN and Janet Allsup (John) of West Terre Haute; 3 granddaughters Shannon Brown (Pat) and Wendy Diel both of Brazil, IN and Brooke Snider (David) of Clinton, IN; 2 great-granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons. Mary Jane was a member of Cross Lane Community Church. She graduated from Frankfort (IN) High School in 1956 and worked at Columbia House in Terre Haute for 20 years. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00PM in the Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Sutliff officiating. Per her wishes, Mary Jane will be cremated.
