Mary Josephine Polifroni

Mary Josephine Polifroni, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012, at Union Hospital. She was born on December 2, 1923, in Clay County to Joseph and Dominica (Marietta) Costa. She married Bruno Polifroni on October 15, 1945, and together they raised two children. Mary was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, Sharon Polifroni of Belleville, MI and Michael Polifroni and his wife Susan of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jennifer and Rebecca Polifroni both of Terre Haute, Nicholas Polifroni of Portland, ME, and Zachary and Mary Polifroni both of Belleville, MI; a great-granddaughter, Dominique Tilford of Terre Haute; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Jack, Robert, and Dominic Costa, and a sister, Patricia Lawson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13 from 10-11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held on Monday, February 13 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. William Coker officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
