

Nellie Virginia Haycraft, 84, of Kewaunee, Wisconsin, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on July 29, 1928, in Terre Haute to Samuel and Gertrude (Ferrand) Catterson. She married Charles Haycraft and he preceded her in death in 1996. Nellie was a devoted mother to her two daughters and over 80 foster children for fifteen years. She also worked for Modern Album for several years.
Nellie is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Goodwin) Scott of Terre Haute and Marie (Cline) Brandt and her husband Gary of Kewaunee, WI; grandchildren, Cynthia (Lindley) Uhlers and her husband Craig, Susan (Lindley) Uhlers and her husband Kevin, Melanie (Lindley) McCracken and friend John Selner, all of Kewaunee, Jan (Scott) Daub and Jill Scott, both of Terre Haute, and Rhonda (Scott) Rilenge and husband Donald of Trefalger, IN; great-grandchildren, Shaun Daub, Bobby Daub, Madelyn Bolin, all of Terre Haute, James Walker of Shelburn, Jessica Rilenge of Trefalger, Craig Wasson of Green Bay, Cody Wasson Alyssa Uhlers, Mykenzi Uhlers, Jamey McCracken, Ariel McCracken, and Kady McCracken, Jordan Uhlers, and Jessica Belleu all of Kewaunee, Joshua Belleu and fiancée Kayla Zempel of Green Bay; a great-great-granddaughter on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, William Catterson, and sisters, Kathleen Brown, Margaret Ball, and Marie Dierdorf.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at the funeral home with Reverend Larry Mathias officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
