

Nick Anthony Agresta, Jr. was called home to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 21, 1946, to Nick Sr. and Bonnie (Wilkin) Agresta.
He is survived by his dear wife of 43 years, Linda; daughter-in-law Jennifer; grandchildren Hailey and Christian Agresta,Hannah and Emily Mahalko; great-granddaughter Alania; sister Kay (Joe) Cull; brother Ron (Cathy) Agresta of Tennessee; and brother-in-law Dennis (Diane) Stultz of Kentucky; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Matthew Scott Agresta; parents Nick Sr. and Bonnie Agresta; and in-laws Harry and Rosemary Stultz.
He was a 1964 graduate of Garfield High School and attended ISU until becoming a proud and loyal U.S. Air Force veteran of the Cold War from 1966-1970. He was a member of the American Legion Post 104, the National Hot Rod Association, The NHRA Track Announcers Guild, co-founder of the Wabash Valley Rodders Club, and former co-operations promoter of Coles County Dragway 1990-2000. He announced drag races locally at Crossroads Dragway and regionally since 1973. He and his dear friend, Bill Austin, formed Double A in 1962.
Nick was employed by VP Racing Fuels at their midwest sales office in Terre Haute for 25 years. He was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Church and the El Shaddai Emmaus Community.
Visitation will be held at Mt. Pleasant Church on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 11:00am-2:00pm followed by service at 2:00pm. His entombment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in the Chapel. As Nick would say, “Remember as you go through life to always do a wheelie!”
