

Norma Rose Chamness, 73, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Kindred Southwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 16, 1943, in Vigo County, to Fred and Annetta (Mitchell) Poett.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Lori A. Farnsworth and husband Kevin of Huntersville, N.C.; siblings, Barbara Hills of Terre Haute, Fred Poett and wife Christie of Shelby, N.C., Marcella Weaver of Terre Haute, and Judy Ferneding of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Mary-Lou Breidenbaugh and husband Charles of Otwell, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Chamness in 2001; and a brother, Edward Poett.
Norma worked at Bemis for many years before she owned and operated Chamness Janitorial Service. She loved to read and share the gospel. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services officiated by Kevin Farnsworth will be held at noon Wednesday, at the funeral home.
