Norma Dean Hicks

Norma Dean Pigg Hicks, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday January 27, 2015 in Signature Health Care in Terre Haute. Norma was born October 21, 1928 in the town of Cass, in Sullivan County Indiana. She was born to Noel Pigg and Eva Critchfield Pigg. Norma was a graduate of Dugger Union High School and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Wayne Hicks, who passed away January 12, 1981, and a grandson, Jason Hathaway. Norma is survived by three children; Gary Hicks and his wife Gwen of Terre Haute, Vicki Hicks and Tom of Terre Haute and Steve Hicks and his wife Phoebe also of Terre Haute. She is also survived by four brothers; Noel C. Pigg Jr and his wife, Shirley, Fred Joe Pigg and his wife, Vicki, Ronald Pigg and his wife Kathy and Larry Pigg and his wife Debbie; two sisters, Barbara Hamilton and her husband, Albert and Judy Brenton and her husband, Ray; grandchildren; Tom Hicks of Terre Haute, Jessica Murray of Lafayette, Mollie Toland of Indianapolis, and Brian Acklin of Terre Haute; and great grandchildren include, Brett Acklin, Jackson Murray, Emerson Murray, Grayson Murray and Norah Toland and several Nieces and Nephews. Services are scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in the Chapel of Memories, there is no visitation prior to services.
