Ralph Leroy McDaniel

Ralph is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Mark and Anna (Gropp) McDaniel , Scott and Shawn Franklin (Fiancé) McDaniel, Matthew and Tammy (Baldwin) McDaniel. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jared (and his wife Haven), Joshua (and his fiancé Elizabeth Wolkens), Erin, Jessica, and Kayla McDaniel as well as Amber (Ballinger) Kuhn (and her husband Ryan). Great-grand-children Mara Kuhn and Zaden McDaniel, all of Terre Haute.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Benita McDaniel, his brothers Jerry and Robert as well as both his parents.

Ralph served in the United State Navy from 1953 to 1957. He went on to be employed by the U.S. Postal Service and then retired with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the William Penn Lodge F, & A.M., The Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and the Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute. He enjoyed spending time with his grand and great-grand children as well as his neighbors and friends. He also enjoyed watching racing, football, baseball .He liked going to flea markets to find the perfect “antique”. He was kind to everybody he met and would help in time of need when asked. Ralph was a dedicated Husband, loving father, grand-father and great-grand father and a friend to many. He touched the lives of many during his time on this earth and he will be sorely missed by those who knew him.

A private graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Saturday, October 3, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
