Dixie, & family, I'm so sorry to read this sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dixie and Michelle, I hope you know that Dick will always be in our hearts till the day we meet again. There will always be something missing every morning when I wake up,but all I have to do is look across the street and remember the good times and that darn bus.
  We love the two of you and hope that you always know we will always be here for the both of you. I know that Dick knew we would always look after his girls.

Dixie, Tami & Michelle, We thank God that we were all able to get together with all of you and the California cousins at our house in 2010. It was great to catch up and relive old times. I have such cherished memories of Dick and all the good times we had at the little house in West Terre Haute. I used to tag along with him when he mopped the floors at Dick's Diner when we were just kids. I always got a kick out of his quiet, but bedeviled sense of humor and I was proud of him when he served in Viet Nam. Dick always possessed a strong sense of family that showed through whenever he spoke. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Please take comfort in the fact that he is walking the streets of gold and that you will see him again.

Dixie, Tami, Michelle ~ So many memories have come flooding back to me since you told me that we lost Dick.  Childhood memories of Indiana summers and cousins.  My heart and thoughts are with you.  I'm so grateful that I was able to spend that wonderful time with you and him last October.  May God, the Great Comforter, be with you during this painful time.  To Dick, rest in peace knowing how much you were loved here on earth and are now loved in Heaven.
