Ronald S Linder

Ronald “Ron” Steven Linder, age 55, was called home to be with The Lord, Thursday afternoon, February 13, 2014 at his residence in Tampa, Florida. Born December 28, 1958 in Indianapolis, the son of Herbert H. Linder and Delores M. Simpson Linder he was a product manager and sales representative for Cool Components in Tampa Florida, and had previously been employed locally by WFXW and WTHI as a senior commercial producer and a creative service director. Ron attended Vincennes University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate’s Degree in Broadcast Communications. He enjoyed having deep discussions on many topics with his family and friends, and spending time on the beach. He was a music man, always singing and whistling. He played in and was a sound board tech for bands in his earlier years. He enjoyed shooting pool and was a member of pool leagues during his time in Terre Haute. We mourn the loss of his presence and celebrate the man who was loved by so many people, the journey he had, and the home he now has. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, one brother; David Linder, and one niece; Lacey Linder. He is survived by his daughter; Chelsea Linder of Terre Haute, son; Aaron Linder of Tampa Florida, sister; Brenda Linder of Terre Haute, two brothers; Michael Linder and his wife Lisa Ann of Terre Haute, and Garry Linder and his wife Lisa Leann of Kingwood, Texas, nieces and nephews; Kirsten Althoff, Clarissa Brinkley, Khaim Helms, Autumn Hunt, Harmony Linder, Caley Linder, Allison Linder, Luke Linder, and Austin Linder. Ron is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, as well as many other friends, family, and loved ones. Funeral services for Ron will be held Saturday February 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana with Brother Melvin Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at 1:00.
