Ruth Ellen Murray

Ruth Ellen Murray, 98, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. She was born on October 22, 1914 in Terre Haute, IN to William and Bess (Russell) Anderson. She was married to Merle Murray for 67 years before his passing in 2001. Ruth worked for the Vigo County Library and retired after many years of service. She was a member of West Terre Haute Baptist Church, local home- ec and past presidents club, and a volunteer for Friends of the Library.

Ruth is survived by her children; Bill (Margo) Murray of Terre Haute, Janet Murray of Florida, Virginia (Daniel) Phelps of New York; Grand children Tim Murray, Cindy (Greg) Harris, Kelly (Steven) Nasser, and Nicole Phelps; Great great grandchildren Kayla (Geoff) Haynes, Kourtney Nasser, Michael Nasser, Molly Nasser, Emily (Chad) Spencer, Aaron (Jessie) Harris, Hannah Harris, and Matthew Murray.

Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Brett Wilson will be officiating. A private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in lieu of flowers donation can be made to Gentiva Vista Care Hospice.
