Scott Allen Brenton Sr.

Scott Allen Brenton, Sr., 49, of Clinton, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at home, surrounded by family after a battle with small cell lung cancer. He was born on August 20, 1973, in Torrence, CA to Jeremiah and Cynthia Richards Brenton. Scott is survived by his sons: Scott Allen Brenton, Jr of Terre Haute, Tyler Eugene Brenton of Terre Haute, Jerad Michael Breton and wife Nicole of Clinton, Joshua James Brenton and girlfriend Veronica of Clinton, Jacob Peak of Terre Haute, Dillon Jackson of Terre Haute, and Steven Wright of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Addilyn, Braxton, Ryler, Shaelyn, and Everly; sisters, Deborah Brenton, Hazel Brenton, and Jennifer Brenton; first wife, Falisha Brenton of Terre Haute; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cornelia Brenton; and siblings, Thomas Brenton, Jeremiah Brenton Jr., and Nickie Brenton. Scott was a 1992 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. He worked as a carpet installer for Smiddy’s Carpet for 15 years. He was a great father who raised four sons on his own. He loved to spend time with his family and color with his grandchildren. Scott had a big heart and would do anything to help anyone. A man of fashion, Scott always stayed fresh. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 13 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Scott will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
