Vickie is survived by her mother, Carol J. Wittenmyer; three sons: Josh Purcell and fiancee, Katelynn Hernandez, Chris Purcell, and Brad Purcell, all of Terre Haute; sister, Melissa Davis and partner, Sharena Taylor of Indianapolis; and grandchildren, Zoey Williams, Jaxson Purcell, R.J. Jenkins, Bruce Purcell, Nova Ross, and Rocky Purcell.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Downey, and grandparents, Maynard and Lou Jean Woodward.
Vickie was a 1991 graduate of Terre Haute North High School. She attended The Rock Church. She enjoyed going fishing every summer and doing crafts. She loved animals, especially lions. She was a fan of the Tasmanian Devil. Most importantly, Vickie was a wonderful mother to her sons. She will be truly missed.
Per her wishes, cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
