Virginia Rose Reed

Virginia Rose Reed, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Meadows Manor North, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 8, 1941, in Terre Haute to James C. and Kathleen (Spitler) Bannon. Virginia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald Reed of Terre Haute; children, Debbie Clark and husband Lee; Donald E. Reed; Danny Reed and wife Vonnie; and Dawn Ann Drake and husband Bob; a brother, George Bannon and wife Mary; sister, Pat Walton and husband Larry; life-long, close friend, Jean Brashier; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Virginia graduated from Gerstmeyer High School. She worked for many years as an inspector at Hoosier Fiber Glass. Virginia was a member of Crossroad 75 Camping Club and Breden Memorial Church. Virginia doted on her Chihuahuas: Paco, Ruby, Coco, and Stella. She loved spending time with her family and having Sunday dinners. She also enjoyed flowers. Virginia was an avid camper. She liked playing cards, especially Skipo. She will be truly missed. Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 13 at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Myers officiating.
