Annie Rose Allen

Annie Ables Allen, formerly of Terrell, passed away January 18, 2015 in Dallas. Annie was born November 23, 1928 to Raymond and Lola Ables and she was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert “Bob” Allen and her brother, Billy Ables. Annie worked at Terrell State Hospital as a stenographer and she retired after 20 years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Terrell until moving to Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas due to her health. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge where she was very active. Annie is survived by her son, Jerry Bob Allen and wife Amy of Desoto, TX; daughter, Jody Rodenberg and husband John of Irving; grandchildren: Tobin Allen and wife, Jen, Tucker Allen and wife, Sara, and Tadd Allen and wife, Karen, Joanna Easton and husband Jeff, Deanna Adams and husband, Drew; great grandchildren: River, Bodi, Tripp, Foster, Dagney, Brooke, Reese, and Claire; sister-in-law, Adeline Ables of Terrell as well as several other extended family and friends. Funeral service will be at 1:00pm, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Thursday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home.
