John Schwed

John William Schwed, of Kaufman, TX, passed away May 30, 2015 at the age of 32. He was born to Stephen and Joyce Schwed on January 19, 1983 in Kansas City, MO. John was a hard working man who spent quite a few days on the road working for McElroy Tuck Lines. When he was home he enjoyed watching Nascar races and cheering for Dale Jr., He spent time out in his shop working on engines of all types and went mudding in his Truck. He was just a good old country boy. He was very dependable when called upon and would help anybody at a moment’s notice, exemplified by being his father’s eyes’ throughout his life as his dad was legally blind. He was his own person; he didn’t say much but when he did he wasn’t backing down. He also knew his way around. If he’s been there once, he’ll remember how every time. John also has an extensive collection of flags. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He met Tabitha Williams at school and they became High School sweet hearts. On June 12, 2004 they got married and in the years since had three beautiful children: Lilyan 10, Daytona 8 and Anthony 6. The kids loved to go fishing with their daddy, He still learning how to fish himself. One of many great memories was when Lilyan got to drive daddy’s truck while sitting in his lap for first time. He was a great Son, Father, Brother and Uncle. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and kids; parents Stephen and Joyce; siblings Melodie Schwed-Irwin and husband Michael, Stephen Schwed, Jr. and wife Julie and Terry Schwed; grandfather Lawrence William Schwed, Sr.; Father-in-law Edward Williams and wife Victoria and Mother-in-law Darla Williams; his wife’s siblings Dawna Williams and husband Shaun, Tim Williams and wife Shana, Kenny Williams and his friend Amanda Mata and Nathan Crawford; grandparents, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss him dearly. The family will celebrate John’s life Friday, June 5, 2015, in the chapel of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, TX at 5:00pm. There will be a gathering of family and friends held on Thursday, June 4, 2015, from 6pm – 8pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services on Friday in The Kaufman Cemetery.
