Julia Mae Dennis

Julia Mae Dennis, of Terrell, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 28, 1930 to Max and Nellie Annie Williamson, both of whom preceded her in death along with her sisters: Margie Edwards and Lucille Jordan and brothers: Buddy and M.L. (Sonny) Williamson. Julia was a lady with an incredible entrepreneurial spirit and she sold Avon products successfully for over 45 years. Born in Granbury, Julia moved to the Boles Home in Quinlan when she was eleven staying until she graduated. She met the love of her life, Albert, at a basketball game and they were inseparable their whole lives. A devoted wife and loving mother, her priority each day was making sure that Albert and their daughter, Martha, had a wonderful home to live in. She made the best of every situation by living her life to the fullest with plenty of love and care for her family and friends. She was a faithful attender of Rockwall and Brin Church of Christ until her health began to decline but she still loyally served the Lord in each of her daily interactions with others. Her generosity and willingness to serve others was a true testament to her gentle spirit and Julia will be dearly missed. Julia is survived by her beloved husband of over 65 years, Albert Dennis, of Terrell; cherished daughter, Martha Smith and husband, Don, of Ferris; granddaughters, Michelle Roberts and husband, Chad, of Houston; Julie Rains and husband Russell, of Colleyville; great grandchildren: Abbey Roberts and Ryan Roberts; sisters: Maxine James and husband, Billy of Abilene; Mary Jane Williams and husband, Tex of Austin, Vernell Walls of Rowlett as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. Funeral service will be at 10:00am, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2014 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel with interment to follow at Campground Cemetery.
