She was a clown for the “Daughter’s of the Nile” and they would ride a 3-wheeled scooter with a horse head on the front and a horse tail on the back in parades all across the area, the state and even the country. She rode every year in the Terrell Christmas Parade. Her nickname was Pistol Pete. They would also perform for the children in the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital. Mary and James are members of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dallas and she was a member of the Eastern Star. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tom Jack Moore and sister Wanda Arnold. Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband; her son James Ray Fisher; her daughter Darlene Blake and husband Kevin; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. There will be a gathering of family and friends Wednesday, October 29, between 6pm-8pm at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home. The celebration of Mary’s life will be Thursday, October 30, at 10:00 am in the chapel of the funeral Home. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
