I worked with Michael at Pepsi a long time ago and this year we crossed paths again as he was a teacher at my daughters school my oldest was very upset and asked who was going to keep all the kids safe now and all I could tell her even though he is not there with her I know he is still watching over them rip Michael and family

To this dear family, my deepest, deepest sympathy for this incredible loss. I cannot imagine the pain and grief you all must be feeling. I hope and pray that you know that God's amazing love is right with you and His Spirit will comfort you, collect every tear and somehow bring good from this tragic event because you know Him and are called according to His purpose. May the days, weeks, months and years to come become sweet from the memories of your family's lives the short years they were here and the impact they had on many others. What a beautiful legacy they left. Praying for strength and courage to make it another day...then another...and another especially for the sons that were left. Words cannot express how I felt when I read the article in the Owensboro, KY, newspaper about the tragic accident.  As I read the article, I recognized the name of the town and the last name of the victims as possibly being distant relative of mine.  I called a Texas relative, Nancy Shaw, to confirm that possibility.  My grandmother, Pearl Newton Woods, was born in Forney, TX.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I never knew the family. I just hear about it on the news. I cried hearing about the lost of the family, and the 3 boys that are left behind. my heart aches so bad for them. May the five that went to Heaven rest In Peace with Jesus, And I pray that God will wrap the 3 boys in his loving arms and take care and protect them until they can be with their family in Heaven someday. I babysat Dakota Watson when he was a baby. Trudi was a wonderful person, this family will be greatly missed!

I worked with Michael many days when he was teaching at Wills Point and I was subbing for his aide.  He was always so kind, patient, and friendly.  I always enjoyed working with him and watching him interact with the students.  His love for Trudi and their children was so evident.  We have lost a very good man and our hearts are broken.  May God bring your peace and comfort.

I am heartbroken over the loss of Michael and his family.  I have know Michael since he was in the 8th grade.  He and my son, Shane Ross, were like two peas in a pod best friends.  Michael was like a second son to me.  We have run into each other occasionally over the years, was in Walmart when I met Trudi and Kaci.  He always greeted me with a smile, hug and how is my second Mom doing.  He was an exceptional young man and will be greatly missed.  My heart goes out to his Mom, Denise, and the rest of his family. I will never forget the fun times our families had celebrating Christmas together in the 80s. Michael grew up to be a very caring and kind christian man.  He touched  so many lives, as did Trudi. They were raising a beautiful family. This is such a huge loss for all of us.  My heart breaks, but even more so, for the families. RIP my friend. I pray comfort and peace for these precious families as they face the challenges of grief ahead of them.

There are no words to express my feelings. I just keep thinking how happy they all were on their last day together and hope you take some comfort in knowing this. It will be a hard road for all the loved ones left behind but such a comfort knowing they are all waiting on you in Heaven.

This is so devastating to my family and I still can't believe this happened.  Michael is my cousin and is such an amazing man who's children and wife were just as amazing.  They will always be missed but I know they are together in heaven looking down upon us.  We love you all!!!

We met Trudi in 2005 when she coordinated our Make-A-Wish trip to California.  She made our then 8 yr old daughter very happy.  Now,  she is a 9 yr cancer survivor.  We are thankful for having known Trudi even if for a brief moment in time.  Prayers are going up for your family.
