My sympathy for your loss. Rupert was a classmate at THS, and he was one of the boys that everyone -- young and old -- admired and respected.  An outstanding football player, he was modest and humble.  His parents were wonderful people, and their kindness, friendliness, and sterling character were definitely passed on to Rupert.

We will treasure the friendship, kindness, and genuineness of Rupert Henry. Rarely in my life have I met an individual with such depth of character.  I have the deepest respect and admiration for my friend.  

Our prayers, and thoughts are with Rupert and his family at this difficult time.  We feel extremely blessed that our life paths crossed.

Rupert (Rupe) as  we called him, graduated from
THS in 1953. (The year for the 
State Championship win.
Yoakum 0, Tigers 60 something, as best can be remembered.) The game was played at Texad A& M Aggie
Land stadium....Kyle field.

Rupe was a leader, very much
Respected by his teammates and by all who knew him .
Always courteous, kind and
Caring, Rupe was an outstanding athlete in many sports, Quartback in football
and  very much a team player.
He will  always be remembered as a "giant of a man " and
Exemplarsry to others . I was
very blessed to have had him as a friend and to have known his wonderful family.

Such wonderful high school memories: Rupe was a star in so many ways. What an
athlete and friend to all. He was from such a loving and caring
Family. Rupe was a very
compassionate person and
was always open to help any
one he could. He was kind, a respected leader, a friend to all. This gentleman will be so
missed by all who had the
pleasure of knowing him. I was blessed to be his friend and will always cherish his memory.

I will miss my golfing buddy and wonderful friend. I met Rupert at a young time in my life and will forever remember the way he enjoyed life and people. Watching the way Rupert treated and respected others taught me to do the same and I became a better person for it. I was just glad I didn't putt like him! Well Rupe I had to get one in on you, I know you would have liked it because you always got one in on me! Hit'em straight my friend! Love Oscar & Nancy

I am sorry to hear about Rupert.  He was a wonderful Dad.  I always think of  him when I watch the Aggies play football.  He will be missed.

Rupert was so sweet and so much fun.  In high school he was one of my favorites...but then most of us felt that way about the "Little General".  In, maybe it was 1957, he and we went to Austin from Ft. Hood for a weekend off "from duty."  A lot of Fun!!! He and family visited us at Ft. Benning for the Bicenntial celebration back in 1976; was really special to share the occasion with them and we were so pleased they came.  In 1993, Rupert was the only one from Terrell to make the trip up to Northwest Arkansas for my ex-husband's memorial service.  He was such a comfort to me and my boys.  He is very dear in my heart and memory.

Rupert ... a very caring  friend, and such a fun golf partner .. my thoughts of you will be hitting a birdie each day, and chasing that little white ball in the sky.

We are so sorry for your loss. Rupert was my brother's best friend since 1952 and people in Terrell will always remember his skills on the field for the Terrell Tigers state championship.
