Sheila May Cox

Sheila May Turner Cox was born on June 14, 1940 in Terrell, Texas to the late James Baxter Turner and Thelma Harris Turner. She passed away peacefully on December 27, 2015 in Forney, Texas. Sheila was a devoted nurse for more than 32 years, spending most of her professional life at Windsor Care Center in Terrell. When she was not busy caring for her patients, Sheila enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, she also enjoyed, traveling, sewing and artwork. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, James Baxter and Thelma Turner, husband Clarence Tucker Cox, son, Andrew Christopher Cox, sisters, Tommie Gene Littleton, Carol Ann Simpson and brother Jay Lane Turner. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Julie Lankford and husband Jeff of Forney, Texas, son, George Cox, of Terrell, Texas, grandchildren: Allison, Nicole, Matthew and Jackson Lankford of Forney, Texas, Brittany Juarez and husband Manuel of Kaufman, Texas, Stephen, Madison, Mason, and Gavin Cox, of Terrell, Texas, Sisters, Donna Pearson, of Terrell, Texas, Frieda Simpson, of Terrell, Texas, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
