William Douglas Epperson Sr.

William D. Epperson passed away on February 13, 2016 in Kaufman, Texas surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 86. Bill was born to Tommy and Jessie Mae Epperson on January 23, 1930 in Tioga, Texas. He was married to Merle Epperson for 38 wonderful years. William enjoyed doing carpentry work, and he was especially fond of building bird houses and bird feeders, quickly picking up the nickname “Bird House Bill” from many people who knew him. He would sell his houses and feeders in Edgewood on the corner of highway 19 and 80. He was a member of the Baptist church and his family not only knew him as a great person but good mechanic as well. William was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers, and one great grandchild. He is survived by his wife, 8 children, two sisters and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to make donations to Hospice Plus or any hospice facility of your choice.
