Benito "Ben" Soliz Garcia, 64 of Nash, TX. passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Wadley Hospital. Ben was born August 17, 1954 in Beeville, TX. Ben loved his children, and grandchildren with his whole heart. He was the kind of man to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ben enjoyed reading his bible, working with his hands, drawing, fishing and kicking up dirt on a dance floor. Ben was well known for his green eyes, charming smile, and never met a stranger. He loved providing fresh produce for his family and friends in his community. And was a member of Cornerstone Church in Atlanta, TX.
He once said to his son, "If you see me and my truck stranded in the middle of the road, help me get to the side , so people can go on."

Preceded in death by a son Nathan Garcia, a sister Fidelia Garcia and his parents Vicente and Beatrice Garcia.
Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Eric and Ashley Garcia of Atlanta, TX. and Adam and Olivia Garcia of Texarkana, TX; one daughter and son-in-law Yvette and Ernest Cantu of Beeville, TX; three brothers Visente, Juan and Edward; five sisters Adelaida , Gloria, Katherine, Margaret and Rita. Grandkids Lucas, Xxander, Emily, Ella, Ezekiel, Bethany, Alécia, Gavin, Quentin, Donovin, Collin and Lola.
Arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
Memorial service will be 3 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Cass County State Park. Markers will be placed as a guide to the location.
Please bring lawn chairs and fishing gear. Casual dress - food will be provided.
