Mrs. Helms was born July 18, 1928 in Loving, Texas. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of Cross Way Church of Texarkana. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Helms Sr. and a grandson Chad Mills.
Survivors include her children and their spouses; William Daniel and Rowena Helms, John Robert and Chunling Helms, Sandra Kay and Charles Mills and Randall Wayne Helms and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. , Friday, May 24th, 2024 at Chapelwood Cemetery with Rev. Mike Mauldin officiating.
The family will have viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. , Wednesday May 22nd, 2024 at East Funeral Home-Downtown and will have a scheduled visitation Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at East Funeral Home-Downtown.
