

Billy Frank Goff, 86, of Texarkana, TX passed away June 12, 2012 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born December 26, 1925 in Commerce, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Downtown and retired in management from Coca Cola Bottling Company. Bill was a U. S. Navy veteran of WWII attached to the Marines. He was a boatsman in the Navy with a crew of six men who carried men and tanks to the shore during the war. Bill was proud, kind and helpful to every person he knew. Bill's happiest times were on his boat fishing, visiting with his three fishing buddies, talking with his neighbor at the back fence, and when he was working in his 100 X 100 garden.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Calla Goff in 1998.
Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Ann Goff of Texarkana, TX; his constant companion and german shepherd, Rasco; niece, Linda Moon of Lincoln City, CA; plus a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Carl Teel officiating.
Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
