Billy Joe Smith, age 82, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 2, 2022.

Billy Smith was born April 16, 1940, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, he resided in Texarkana, Texas for the last 45 years. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He owned an office machine business, called A1 Office World. He was preceded in death by his son Dennis Floyd Smith, his parents Lawrence & Mae Smith, two brothers, Roy Smith, and Bobby Smith, two sisters, Esteleen Tadlock, and Betty Tadlock, his mother and father-in-law Alec & Goldie Rasco, a son-in-law Bob Ireland, and one brother-in-law Edward Henry Brockenbrough III.

Survivors include his wife Suzon Smith of Texarkana, Texas, two daughters, Donna & Billy Crouse of Texarkana, Arkansas, Rose Ireland of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one son William Glen Breshears of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one brother David Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas, one sister Laura Foster of Hot Springs, Arkansas, four grandsons, Daniel Simpson, Jessy & Alicia SImpson, Chad Simpson, and B.J. Crouse, one granddaughter Katina & Jonathan Posey, one sister-in-law Sharon Brockenbrough, a number of great-grandkids, and a number of nieces & nephews.

Upon the request of Billy Smith there will not be a visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Texarkana Baptist Children's Home.
