Billy Frank Smith

Billy Frank Smith, 84, of Texarkana, AR passed away June 2, 2011 at his home. Mr. Smith was born February 23, 1927 in Henderson, TX. He was a retired truck driver for Southern Cement Transport and Southern Refrigerated Transport and a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church . Mr. Smith was a World War II Navy veteran of the Pacific where he served aboard the USS Vandenberg. He also served in the Texas National Guard.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carolyn Sue Smith of Texarkana, AR; son, Reggie Lynn Smith and wife, Sally of Allen, TX, son Richard Smith of Texarkana, AR, grandson, Dr. Marc Smith and wife, Tracy of Texarkana, AR, grandson, Matthew Smith and wife, Elizabeth of Little Rock, AR, grandson, Rusty Smith of Austin, TX, granddaughter, Regina Ann Smith of Kyle, TX and great grandsons Luke, Lee and Landry Smith of Texarkana, AR.

Rosary will be 7 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel – Downtown with visitation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 4 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2011 at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Worm officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home – Downtown.
