

Carmon McFerran, 96, who resided in Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Cornerstone Retirement Community in Texarkana, Texas. She was born October 24, 1915 in Charleston, Arkansas to Herman Ulysses and Maggie Mae (Jackson) Hutton. Carmon was a retired public school teacher and instructor at Texarkana Community College and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Paul McFerran and son Donald Ellis McFerran.
Survivors include one son, James Bradley McFerran and wife Patsy, one daughter-in-law, Carrie McFerran, two grandsons, Randy McFerran and wife Cindy, Shanahan McFerran and wife Rachel, two granddaughters, Tracy Ann McFerran and Heather Wilson and husband Jeremy and four great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Arnold officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2012 at East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
The family will be at the home of Patsy and Jim McFerran, 825 North Kenwood Road, Texarkana, Texas
