I liked walking with Grandma,
Her steps were short like mine,
She didn’t have to say “now hurry up”
She always took her time. 

I liked to walk with Grandma,
Her eyes saw things like mine did,
Small bright pebbles & hidden drops of dew. 

Most people were in a hurry,
They never stopped to see,
I’m glad that God gave me Grandma,
Unrushed & young like me.

I would have to say my fondest memories are my childhood memories. There were 6 of us; 6 mouths to feed, 6 birthdays to celebrate, 6 children to care for when we were sick, 6 children to send off to school (the biggest part of my upbringing that I made most difficult for my parents), 6 of us to make Christmas as beautiful as any child’s dream could ever imagine.  Amongst the family quarrels and sibling feuds was an entirety of “LOVE.” The family vacations at the beach, the endless summers at Boys Club pool, laughing, playing and dancing; this pool had a juke box that we danced to Aretha Franklin and a lot of the old greats. Oh my, the beautifully simple memories are endless because of you MOM ❤️

Big Birthday Celebration. She was so happy to have Nicole there!

One of the first snows this year. We were relieved power stayed on that day!

So many funny things you did and said. So very witty. 

I thought of Carolyn as my own Grandma. She was a huge part of my life, as well as Clint's & our kids. I'll always remember her and our times spent together-From the holidays we spent with her to the random nights I'd stay at Theresa's, watching movies in her room, doing her nails or hair or just talking, those times will be missed. The time i was her caregiver will also always be remembered.  I truly enjoyed caregiving for her & was honored to take care of her.  Lynnie & I loved our visits. Carolyn always had a way of putting a smile on my face. Our talks, the meals we shared & the prayers we prayed together will forever be a memory I'll hold dear in my heart. She was such a clever woman. She had such great advice & always would be a listening ear if I needed someone to talk to. She had a huge heart & I'm so thankful for the time I had with her & just grateful for the memories..Those times will always be cherished. Now, during this time of great loss, we look to Jesus to fill the void we are left with, it's through him that we find peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding. Only the comfort that the Holy Ghost gives will get us through❤️ Love you Grandma Carolyn, so much.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Carolyn  passing she was such a great and wonderful lady that help  me during some very dark days of my life .I know that life separated us but I never will forget how much I care about her. All of her family is in my prayers always and I will see you soon carolyn with much love always and may God bless and keep you in his light always .Kenny hamilton 

The most fondest memory that I can share was the great trip to Canada with Uncle Bill, Aunt Carolyn and family plus Uncle Bill's dad. We made the trip in an old bus that Uncle Bill converted into a motor home. Had lots of fun with the cousins.                 Aunt Carolyn I will never forget that great laugh you had. I love you!                                              May the Lord keep you in His hand and never close His fist too tight. Rest I peace Aunt Carolyn.
