

Carrie Mae Stanley, age 78 passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 in a local hospital. She was born on April 29, 1947 in Oakdale, LA. Miss Stanley was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Texarkana, AR.
Carrie Mae was the definition of a selfless and a God fearing woman. She truly had a servants heart and loved Jesus. She never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus. She was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and Proverbs 31 woman. She would give her last dollar to anyone in need. She was the first to encourage, counsel, support, and show love in any situation. Her family was her whole heart and she made each person feel number one. She's now finally where she strived her whole life to be - walking the streets of Gold. Our prayer warrior will be missed deeply. She was the best of the best!
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Tillie Stanley; three brothers, John Stanley, Jr., Thomas "Smokey" Stanley and Ricky Stanley; sister, JoAnn Jeffery; two nieces, Martha Lee Jeffery and Karrie LeAnn Pate; one nephew, Adam Stanley.
Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and James Richardson of Texarkana, AR and Linda and Troy Davis of Texarkana, AR; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Debbie Kay Stanley of Texarkana, AR; a number of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Celebration of Life service will be 1pm Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church with Rev. Larry Bracknell officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
