David Joe Windes

David Joe Windes, 68, of Texarkana, TX passed away February 12, 2013 at his home. Mr. Windes was born July 27, 1944 in St. Louis, MO. He was an involved, faithful member of Walnut Church of Christ and loved his church family dearly. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his time spent on the family farm in Richland, Missouri with family and friends. David had a deep appreciation of vintage firearms - buying, swapping, selling and collecting. He leaves behind a sweet spirit of kindness, compassion and simplicity.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Windes of Texarkana, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Joel Littlefield ; son and daughter-in-law, Kile and Jennifer Windes; and son, John Windes; grandchildren, Joshua Windes, Mathew Windes, Hope Littlefield, Drew Littlefield, Brian Topping and Renessa Topping. Siblings; brothers George Windes and Mike Windes.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Walnut Church of Christ with Dr. John Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2013 at East Funeral Home – Moores Lane.

Graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Glover Cemetery in Richland, Missouri.
