Doris Davis Reed

Doris Davis Reed, born August 14, 1930 in Cass County, was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Bell Westmoreland and Frank Wilson; her husband of 35 years, Roy Davis and her husband of 23 years; Kenneth Reed; and one granddaughter, LeAn Green.

Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter, Diana Davis of Texarkana, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Douglas Walls of Batesville, AR; grandchildren, Paul Green and Kevin Green of Fouke, AR; Wendy Smith, Karen McGlothlin and Amy Smith of Batesville, AR; 8 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; brother, John Wilson of Mt. Pleasant, TX; sisters, Lou Pickens, Lucille Teague and Glenda Childs all of Texarkana, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doris moved to Fouke, AR in 1961. Later she and her husband, Roy Davis owned the iconic Rock Store. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Texarkana, TX for over 50 years. She spent numerous years volunteering at Golden Bell, a Nazarene Family Camp Center in Colorado. She and her husband, Ken Reed, traveled and worked with Missionary Baptist Master Builders. Doris got to enjoy many years of traveling around the world with family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Frank McFerrin officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
