Dorothy Frances Duck died on November 2 in Texarkana, Texas after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was born March 1, 1926 and was a life time resident of Texarkana, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot where she worked as a computer programmer. She was a lifetime member and active supporter of Liberty Eylau Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir until her health would no longer allow her to serve, she continue to attend until recent years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Duck, her Mother and father Arthur and Clara Black, and three sisters and their spouses, Mildred and Woody Woodard, Harry and Margie Powell, and Edith and Herbert Brown.
She is survived by her son David Duck of Texarkana, grandchildren Kelly Simmons of Texarkana and Darryl Lancing of Las Vegas, Nevada, also her great grandchildren Lindsey Simmons and Addison Simmons and the mother of her grandchildren Suzanne Duck all of Texarkana, Texas.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved and always looked forward to the family reunion so they could all be together.
Services will be November 6th, 11 a.m., East Memorial Chapel, 2807 Moores Lane and visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., prior to the services. Dr. Dwight Lowrie will officiate and burial will follow in Chapelwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
