Effie Hinds Gray

Effie Hinds Gray,89, formerly of Texarkana, AR passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Linden Healthcare in Linden, TX. Mrs Gray was born on April 12, 1925 in Athens, LA to Melton and Mittie McBride Hinds. She was a member of Tennessee Baptist Church, Texarkana,AR.

Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond H. Gray; sister Addine Adams and brothers, Jay,Curtis, Marvin and Bill Hinds.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and George Burns of Ashdown, AR, Judy and Dick Pirkey of DeKalb,TX and Jan and Marvin Metcalf of Maud, TX; brother, Clarence Hinds of Bradley, AR; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 11am Tuesday, January 13, 2015 with Bro. Mike Norfleet officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 10am Tuesday until start of service.
