

Eric was a proud Eagle Scout, a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, Class of 2004, where he played varsity soccer. Eric was a dedicated U.S. Navy veteran, serving 8 years in support of his squadrons Navy SEALs HSC-85 “Firehawks” and F-18 and F-22 fighter jets. He was currently employed at General Electric/ Vernova as a Systems Controller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marisa Davila Walston, their cherished daughter Amara, and sons Thomas and Miles, all of Round Rock; his parents, Ed and Kristi (Kentros) Walston of Round Rock; and his brothers, Travis Walston and Taylor Walston of Huntsville, Alabama, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Eric was a voracious learner, endlessly curious about psychology, neuroscience, neuropharmacology, and the natural sciences. He spent most of his free time studying, exploring, and discussing ideas with anyone willing to listen. Eric was a gifted artist and won numerous art awards in a multitude of mediums.
He also cherished active pursuits, including frisbee golf, weightlifting, soccer and bodybuilding with his son Miles, as well as camping trips and long, deep conversations with his dad and brothers. Knowledge, exploration, and connection were at the heart of everything he did.
Eric will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, and the love he gave to his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will be forever treasured.
Burial with military honors will be Friday, October 24, 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Texarkana
Celebration of Life Service Friday, October 24, 2:00 p.m. at Williams United Methodist Church, 4000 Moores Lane, Texarkana. Arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home, Moores Lane.
