Glynda Nell Dorsey

Our dear mother, Glynda Nell Dunlap Dorsey, was calld to be with the Lord on May 24, 2013. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses; Ken and Pam Dorsey, Penny and Roland Sullivan, Debbie and Jim McKissick, and Scott and Gina Dorsey, her 10 grandchildren; Jessica, Jeremy, Jonathan, Kristy, Aleah, Gracie, Spenser, Amanda, Michael, and Tyler, and her sister, Patsy Dunlap Blank. She was received in heaven by the love of her life, Troy Patrick “Pat” Dorsey, her parents, Orville and Louise Dunlap, and her brother, Orville Dunlap. Glynda was born on February 24, 1939, and was married to Pat on August 23, 1957. Together they enjoyed a life of service and worship. Glynda was an active member of the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe, Louisiana for the past 2 years, and before moving to West Monroe had been actively involved as a member of the Union Grove Church of Christ in Doddridge, Arkansas for over 20 years. A memorial service will be held at the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ on May 27, 2013 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Union Grove Church of Christ on May 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ouachita Christian School, White’s Ferry Road Golden Sixty’s Program, or the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana

Graveside service will be under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
